Cont. Joshua T. Hall

Joshua picked up all the pieces which where lying around in OTF waiting to be put together as a Lord of the Ring chat room. Andrew tolled him where a few pieces where and Joshua didn´t waist any more time. He made the base of the chat room, gathered a team to build the remaining pieces and assembled a crew to run the room. Minas Tirith was opened three weeks later.

If now Joshua would be doing a puzzle it would be a puzzle about social hacking. We wonder if it would be better to not ask and not give him that puzzle, or give him and keep a close eye on him.

Joshua is able to turn OTF upside down and inside out and back in a working condition again. We asked him if he would be able to do that with other sci-fi flying crafts, or something like the Nautilus. Joshua guesses that once you've understood the concepts, all issues are just variations of the same underlying problem. He doesn’t know the Nautilus, but knows OTF like the back of his hand. We will try to get him a few blueprints of the Nautilus and give him a safe puzzle to work on.

We see little of Josh, why is simple to explain: he is working behind the scene. Work like that is like a social activity for him, almost like getting together with a couple of friends and having some fun. The things Josh works on how ever take a lot of time and concentration till it’s completely implemented and running. But when it’s up and running he also likes to check the reaction of the others who use it. This might not change in the near future, but he likes it this way. And we like the things he builds or improves for us.

Joshua is missing rebels in OTF: the new people let it all happen instead of making changes. OTF isn’t made out of stone, but of codes. And those can be changed. Changes are good, make them happen, get working! And yes, Mr. Lt. JG who's reading this right now, this means YOU! Grab your change, get creative and work on your ideas, and make a difference. Every one can do something to add to OTF. The best thing that happened to OTF was the ’99 Union in Las Vegas: the single greatest moment. The thing that changed over the years is that adding chat room now a days is kind of standard procedure, while it ones what the biggest thing happening in OTF. OTF is still going, but not going boldly anymore. Josh is waiting for a next big and new challenge in OTF.
