Guilds

Another Long Journey 2003-2004.

Well appears that someone put a glitch in the doors at the Guilds as we had a bad case of revolving door syndrome this past year.

We lost many great and memorable officers over the year. Zandetta, Leeta, Danny, Matt, punkin, Katy, Shoes etc. They call this evolution, I call it heartbreaking but real life has a way of intervening into this combination of play and work we do here at the Guilds.

As we shift positions we tried to strengthen each Guild and in some Teams we succeeded and in some we didn't seem to achieve our aim as yet.

The strongest change made this year is at the OTF Library with the return of Captain Kali. The Library is approaching close to 600 reviews, a new design and changes to make it more user friendly.

We have a new face design for Writers just have not gotten it up as yet, WDG is doing a face lift as is Music. Some new sections are being added to Film and Poetry, Art and Music are working on some new live events to come for the next year.

OTF Guilds is always working from the inside. Often many don't notice as we are more here for the members encouragement and we are not live shows in the chats but we do work hard each and every month that many just think magically appear.

I guess if we were to say which department is sort of invisible it would be us mostly because no one realizes the work it takes to pull off monthly updates, submissions and bios, interviews and resources for each Guild plus always training new people. Sometimes we have enough staff and sometimes we don't.

So as we plod along trying to find reliable officers who love the arts and are more interested in opening doors of all genre in each Guilds section we will continue to be The Guilds.....
