Entertainment Report

A lot has changed in Entertainment over the past several hundred months, faces have come, faces have gone, but one thing remains true, that being the hard work all the members of the Department put into creating projects for the people of Outpost10f. Cast your mind back over the last two years and it's hard to imagine we didn't ever have teams like Spec_Ops, which, although a fairly new addition to ENT has brought Simming back to the chats after a long absence and unified many of the smaller teams under one big banner, along with producing the infamous Notwerk guides and giving a home to the much valued role of Minion Liason officer and Holidays. Completing the circle is Coding_Ops, ENT's very own bunch of coders whom we can come to for everything from graphics to site design. Spec_Ops is now also home to ENT's internal newsletter, the EnterCom, allowing its many members a chance to express their views, talents and flair for fun.

Along with changing faces and departments, projects have emerged, or fallen by the wayside- such as Online Trivia. Back in 2004/5 KC and AJ decided that three trivia teams simply wasn't enough and set about launching Team Trivia, which, over a series of trials, emerged into what we take pride in calling Nova Division, now a fully working, integral part of ENT's Trivia section. Along with Nova, Trivia saw itself gain an overhaul, with new homepages and scoreboards for the Divisions, and recently a brand new look for its own Trivia site.

Gaming, too, has undergone many alterations, with Black Nova Traders a mainstay game attracting many newcomers to OTF and a brand new version of the old Picture Games launched in 2006. In 2005, the Amazing Race incorporated Gaming into the plot, sending endless OTFers into a spin as they had to fight through Battleships for the next clue.

When KC left, it fell to AJ to helm our crazy craft into the future and steer ENT straight for 10 months. Many of the projects he suggested, or initiated, have made all the difference to the Department, and some- though yet to be completed- will continue to do so.

Current projects include a complete reworking of the ENT homepage, removing out of use areas and building a hub from which all the other divisions can spring. Stay tuned, because in our job to keep the fun flying, you never know what we'll get up to next.

However, the Dark Lord Sauron did prod Queen Demon in the middle of 2006 and say 'it's time you messed the place up'. And he gifted her with the ring of power and said 'I know you know nothing about FTP, or football, but that's what delegation is for... right?' And so it came to pass, that ENT was doomed, and three weeks later SG was in charge of a small pile of ash.
